Nexural Regime Matrix
Know the market state before you trade — trending, ranging, or volatile.
The #1 reason traders lose is applying the wrong strategy to the wrong market. Trend-following in a range. Mean-reversion in a trend. Breakout trading in chop. Regime Matrix solves this by classifying the market into distinct states before you trade.
It combines four factors: ADX for trend strength, ATR percentile for volatility state, volume regime for participation, and momentum quality for directional conviction. The output is a single regime label — Trending, Ranging, Breakout, Squeeze, or Choppy — with a confidence score.
Each regime has specific strategy implications. Trending = trend-following only. Ranging = mean-reversion at boundaries. Breakout = fade or follow depending on volume. Squeeze = prepare for expansion. Choppy = sit out. Knowing the regime before you trade is the difference between having an edge and gambling.
Feature Breakdown
Every component of Nexural Regime Matrix explained — what it does, why it matters, and how to read it.
Multi-Factor Classification
Combines four independent factors — ADX (trend), ATR percentile (volatility), volume regime (participation), and momentum quality — into a single regime label. No single factor can fool the system.
Five Regime States
Clear on-chart labels: Trending (follow the move), Ranging (fade the edges), Breakout (expansion imminent), Squeeze (compression building), Choppy (sit out). Each has specific strategy implications.
Confidence Score
0-100 confidence in the current regime classification. High confidence = all factors agree. Low confidence = mixed signals, reduce size or wait.
Strategy Recommendations
Each regime comes with strategy guidance: which indicator signals to follow, which to ignore, and what position sizing is appropriate.
Regime Transition Alerts
Alerts when the regime changes — the most actionable signal. A shift from Ranging to Trending means it's time to switch strategies.
Trade Setups & Examples
Real trade setups using Nexural Regime Matrix. Each example shows the setup, entry trigger, and target.
Regime Matrix shows 'Trending' with 85% confidence. ADX is 35+. Volume is above average.
Only take trend-following setups (STS, pullbacks, breakout continuations). Ignore mean-reversion signals — they'll get run over.
Trail stops aggressively. Trending regimes can sustain moves for hours. Hold until regime shifts to Ranging or confidence drops below 60.
Regime Matrix shows 'Choppy' with 70% confidence. ADX below 15. Volume declining. Momentum oscillating without direction.
DO NOT TRADE. Choppy regimes have no edge for any strategy type. Every entry is a coin flip with commission drag. Wait for regime transition.
No target. Preserve capital. Set a regime transition alert and do something else until the market decides.
Regime Matrix shows 'Squeeze' transitioning to 'Breakout.' ACE Squeeze confirms with intensity 4+. Volume starting to expand.
This is the highest-probability regime transition. Enter in the breakout direction with expanded size (the squeeze compression guarantees a big move).
Extended targets — 2-3x the squeeze compression range. These transitions produce the session's largest moves.
