Nexural Flow Pro
Directional volume confirmation — the GO/NO-GO signal.
You have the level (Volume Profile). You have the timing (QPulse). But should you actually take the trade? That's what Flow Pro answers. It's the GO/NO-GO gate in the Sage Trading System — and it has veto power over everything else.
Flow Pro separates buy and sell volume using TradingView's native tick direction data from lower timeframes. It offers two display modes — Stacked (buy over sell) and Side by Side (histogram comparison) — with four timeframe options (Auto, Aggressive, Conservative, Custom). The real-time info panel shows bias, delta, imbalance ratio, volume status, and session delta. A data type indicator clearly labels whether data is REAL (tick-based) or SYNTH (calculated fallback).
The imbalance glow highlights bars where the buy-to-sell ratio exceeds 3:1 or vice versa — these are the GO signals. When the ratio is balanced or volume is below the 50-bar average, that's NO-GO territory. Trading dead flow is how accounts slowly bleed. Flow Pro keeps you out of those trades entirely.
Feature Breakdown
Every component of Nexural Flow Pro explained — what it does, why it matters, and how to read it.
Directional Flow Stacks
Color-coded volume stacks showing whether aggressive buyers or sellers are in control. Green = net buying pressure. Red = net selling pressure. The intensity of color shows conviction level.
Buy/Sell Imbalance
Detects when one side is overwhelming the other by 1.5x or more. This imbalance is the confirmation signal — it means aggressive orders are pushing price in one direction with conviction.
Dead Flow Detection
Identifies when volume is too thin or too evenly split to support a directional move. The NO-GO signal. Dead flow = no edge. This single feature prevents more losing trades than any entry signal generates winning ones.
Institutional Footprint
Highlights bars where large-size orders are present — the footprint of institutional participation. If big money is involved in your direction, the move has staying power.
Flow Meter
A running score from -100 to +100 showing the cumulative directional flow. Above +50 = strong bullish flow. Below -50 = strong bearish. Between -20 and +20 = dead zone (NO-GO).
Trade Setups & Examples
Real trade setups using Nexural Flow Pro. Each example shows the setup, entry trigger, and target.
Volume Profile identifies yesterday's POC as support. QPulse crosses above zero at the POC (WHEN signal). Now check Flow Pro.
Flow Pro shows green stacks + buy imbalance + flow meter above +50 = GO. Enter long with full size. All three STS indicators align.
Target VAH. If flow meter drops below +20 mid-trade, tighten stop to breakeven — the conviction is fading.
VP level looks great. QPulse just crossed zero. But Flow Pro shows mixed stacks, no imbalance, flow meter at +8 (dead zone).
DO NOT ENTER. Flow Pro says NO-GO. This is the discipline that separates STS from other systems. Wait for the next setup where all three agree.
No target — you're not in the trade. Watch for flow to develop. If it does, the next QPulse cross at a VP level is your entry.
Settings Reference
Every setting explained. Defaults work out of the box — adjust only when you understand why.
Number of bars to calculate flow direction. Shorter (10) for scalping, longer (30) for swing. 20 is the STS default.
Minimum ratio for an imbalance signal. 1.5x = one side needs 50% more volume than the other. Higher = fewer signals but stronger conviction.
Flow meter range that triggers NO-GO. Default ±20 means flow meter between -20 and +20 = dead flow.
Highlights bars with institutional-sized orders. Configurable threshold based on instrument.
