Nexural Handbook

Handbook / Our philosophy

How we think

Trade in public, show the losses, and own your own choices.

In one sentence

We trade in public, we show our losses as well as our wins, and you always make your own choices.

Why it matters

Trading groups often hide their bad trades. That gives people the wrong idea. They think winners never lose.

Every trader loses. What matters is how small the losses are, and what you learn from them. You can only see that if the losses are shown.

Do this

  1. See the whole record. Look at wins and losses side by side on the trade log.
  2. Plan the exit before you enter. Know where you will get out if you are wrong.
  3. Own the choice. Use what we share to learn. Then decide for yourself.
  4. Stick with your plan. A few bad days do not mean the plan is broken.
  5. Learn once. When a loss teaches you something, write it down so you do not pay for it twice.

These are Sage's own rules, in his words:

  • “Set ups > revenge trading”
  • “I don’t jump strategies just because I had a few bad days”

Sage's words, from his posts in the Nexural Discord (March 2026).

Real example

Here is one of Sage's real losses. It is on the public trade log, next to his wins.

POELClosed 2026-07-30Loss −$6,175.01 (−26.5%)
Shares
2,000
Average cost
$11.6677
Sold at

From Sage's real trade log (nexural.io/trade-log), as of 2026-09-28. Average cost is worked out from the realized profit or loss, so it is approximate.

A loss like this is part of trading. We show it so you see the full picture.

Common mistakes

  • Treating a post as a tip. A trade post shows what we did. It is not advice for your money.
  • Judging by one trade. One win or one loss says very little. Look at many trades.
  • Hiding your own losses. If you share trades in the server, share the bad ones too. That is how you get useful help.
