Spend your first week watching, reading and asking questions, not trading.

Why it matters

The server is busy. There are many channels. If you jump in fast, you will feel lost.

A slow first week helps you learn where things are. You also get to see wins and losses — real ones on the trade log, and scored ideas on the proof page — before you risk any money.

Common mistakes

• Trading on day one. Watch first. The market will still be there next week.
• Only reading the wins. The proof page and the trade log show losses too. Read them.
• Staying quiet. If you are confused, ask. Other members were new once too.
